Advertising Sales Representative Job at Laconia Daily Sun in Laconia

The Laconia Daily Sun is looking for a full-time Advertising Sales Representative to join our team in Laconia, New Hampshire.

This is a professional sales position serving local businesses across the Lakes Region. The right person will manage an established portfolio of advertising accounts while also helping us build new business.

This is a relationship-based sales job. It requires good judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under daily deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of advertising accounts

Build strong relationships with local business owners and marketing decision-makers

Sell print, digital, special section, and other advertising opportunities

Prospect for new business through phone calls, email, in-person visits, and referrals

Help clients choose the advertising options that best fit their goals and budgets

Work closely with our advertising, production, and editorial teams to make sure ads are accurate and run on schedule

Handle account details, customer questions, ad copy, deadlines, and follow-up with care

Learn all key parts of our advertising operation and assist with daily workflow as needed

Qualifications

Sales, account management, advertising, media, or customer-facing business experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers

Organized, reliable, and able to manage details under deadline

Professional manner with clients and co-workers

Willingness to prospect for new business and follow up consistently

Good basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and customer records

Knowledge of the Lakes Region business community is helpful

College education preferred but not required

Compensation and benefits
This position offers base pay plus commission, with expected total compensation of $50,000 to $65,000. Compensation will depend on experience and sales performance.

We provide a Health Reimbursement Arrangement and a 401(k).
