Join the Exploring Judaism Team — Part-Time (20 hrs/week)
Exploring Judaism, the Digital Home of Conservative/Masorti Judaism (a project of USCJ & the Rabbinical Assembly) is hiring 2–3 part‑time team members to help grow our digital publishing and educational platform. We’re looking for versatile people who bring a mix of skills rather than a single specialty. If you think you have excellent skills in at least 4 of these areas, please apply.

Skill Set we’re drawing from:

Graphic Design — creating clean, on‑brand visuals for web, social, and print based on our brand templates

Social Media Management — running email lists, growing engagement across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, and content calendars

SEO — keyword research, on‑page optimization, growing organic traffic

WordPress — building and maintaining pages, and basic troubleshooting

Jewish Studies — fluency with Jewish texts, history, practice, and the Conservative/Masorti landscape

Editorial Skills — strong writing and editing; comfort with Hebrew/Aramaic source material a plus

Project Management — keeping initiatives organized, on schedule, and moving

Email & WhatsApp Marketing — preparing emails to share with our list, managing WhatsApp groups, ensuring meticulous review of each before ‘send’

Podcasting — recording, editing, and producing audio content

AI — helping to leverage automation as a ‘force multiplier’ in a small non‑profit environment

Platforms we work with:
Kit, Canva, WordPress, Elementor, Claude, Notion, Asana, Google Ads, Meta Business, and Shopify.

Part‑time roles:
These are part‑time roles (maximum of 20 hours/week). We’re flexible on remote work and scheduling. Team and supervisory meetings will be required. Some availability during business hours EST is required.

Compensation:
$23.00 – $31.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

How to Apply:
Send a résumé and a cover letter that tell us which of the skills above you bring, show off, and wow us. Include relevant work samples, portfolios, links, and social media accounts, so we can see your track record. Applications that lack any of the required elements will not be considered. Letters written by AI will be filtered.

Additional Information:
Due to the overwhelming response in previous hirings, we cannot respond to all applicants. If you are a member of the Rabbinical Assembly, please indicate on your application.

Our process involves a review of applications, a rolling schedule for brief 15‑minute interviews with the Editor in Chief, and then a longer team interview. Start date is flexible.
