Job Description
The Director of Business Development is responsible for expanding the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) by securing new paid positions for students and increasing capacity within existing partner companies. The role requires developing a sales strategy, managing relationships with corporate partners, and driving quarterly targets in collaboration with school staff and the CWSP Partner Acquisition Committee.

Summary of Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and plan, including detailed sales metrics.

Maintain Salesforce activity records, generate progress reports in Salesforce and Excel, and provide weekly status updates.

Identify, pursue, and close new paid full‑time positions and expand existing partnerships, targeting at least nine new positions for the 2026‑27 school year.

Conduct new business solicitations, network at local and regional events, and generate referrals through existing contacts.

Guide prospective partners through the full engagement cycle—from initial contact to signed contract and job description creation.

Lead site visits and identify growth opportunities for closed partnerships.

Collaborate with the CWSP Office Manager to strengthen and deepen current partner relationships.

Support the CWSP Partner Acquisition Committee and coordinate marketing collateral with the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Participate in regular reviews with senior management, the Board, and CWSP staff to assess progress and adjust strategies.

Ideal Candidate

Demonstrated passion for NDCR’s mission and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.

Self‑motivated sales professional with a proven record of lead generation and closing deals, including large contracts.

Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills (including Salesforce).

Minimum of five years’ business development or sales experience, preferably with educational or philanthropic organizations.

Experienced in selling a new approach to multiple organizational levels, from supervisors to C‑suite.

Comfortable collaborating with senior management and driving processes from the board level down to students and staff.

Bachelor’s degree required.
