Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Band Assistant to work with students 5th-12th Grade. The Band Assistant will be responsible for assisting the band director in various tasks related to the school's band program.

Responsibilities:

Assist the band director in preparing for rehearsals and performances

Help students with instrument setup and maintenance

Assist with organizing and distributing sheet music and other materials

Attend rehearsals and performances to provide support to the band director and students

Help with the setup and teardown of equipment for rehearsals and performances

Assist in small groups and one on one practices

Assist with fundraising and other administrative tasks related to the band program

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience playing a musical instrument, preferably in a school band setting

Ability to work well with students and other staff members

Strong organizational and time management skills

15 hours per week during school hours (3 hrs/day) minimum

Availability to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
