Job Title: Director of HR
Location: 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052
Pay Range: $121,750.00 - $171,790.00 per year
Overview
The Director of HR serves as a strategic partner and provides operational and consultative human resources services for assigned client groups. The Director supports business leaders with effective decision making, project management, and ensures flawless execution of strategic initiatives across the enterprise. They establish and maintain effective partnering relationships with key stakeholders, coordinate policies and practices, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and lead initiatives in employee engagement and organizational culture.
Responsibilities
Directly manage and develop HR Business Partners and oversee all employee relations matters.
Serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to assigned client groups, providing guidance and creative solutions.
Partner with senior leaders, supervisors, and stakeholders on employee engagement, cultural transformation, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and day-to-day HR operations.
Develop and drive strategy related to employee relations and retention.
Lead development of processes and documentation supporting employment policies and procedures.
Collaborate with clients to assess policy impact, recommend improvements, and ensure consistency.
Ensure client satisfaction, prioritize requests, identify barriers, and remove obstacles.
Promote a positive HR brand and exceptional employee experiences.
Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
8-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in HR management, employee relations, development, and retention within a complex, matrixed organization.
Experience leading and managing a high-performing team.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local EEO/ADA compliance laws and regulations.
Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
Experience building relationships and motivating stakeholders to achieve results.
Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills.
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
