Hands-on Shift Production Supervisor – Chemical Ops

A highly productive chemical manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Production Shift Supervisor to lead hourly production personnel within a batch chemical processing environment. This position is responsible for driving safe, efficient operations, ensuring production targets are met, supervising daily shift activities, and supporting a strong safety and quality culture. Ideal candidates will have experience leading teams in chemical, process, or other manufacturing operations.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for:
Lead and direct Chemical Operators during assigned production shifts.
Monitor batch production processes through HMI/control systems and field operations.
Review batch sheets, SOPs, and production documentation to ensure compliance and consistency.
Troubleshoot process deviations and escalate issues as needed.
Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve operational concerns.
Ensure adherence to plant safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and environmental standards.
Document production activities, process issues, and shift performance.
The Production Supervisor should have the following qualifications:
4+ years of production supervision experience in manufacturing.
7+ years of experience in chemical processing, wastewater treatment, or similar process manufacturing environments.
Experience with batch processing operations and HMI/process control systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps, valves, and process equipment.
Experience working within safety-driven manufacturing environments.
Associate's or Technical Degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
