Overview
Owns the execution of omnichannel content across leading US retail partners such as Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Target. Ensures pet products are represented with compelling and compliant content online and in‑store, and builds foundational strategies to grow three core audiences: consumers, search engines, and emerging agentic AI platforms. Works within the Retail Marketing Team to establish AI discoverability while advancing existing efforts across traditional SEO, social media, and digital content ecosystems. Collaborates with external creative agencies while maintaining hands‑on capabilities, including baseline knowledge of website HTML and design language.
Responsibilities
Deploy brand content assets (imagery, on‑site banners, copy, etc.) to key omnichannel customer sites.
Own creation and syndication of machine‑readable content for agentic AI optimization.
Build social media calendars in conjunction with internal marketing teams.
Liaise internally regarding external articles (e.g., PetMD, Business Insider) and with agency for retailer‑agnostic articles and Retailer Sales Force materials.
Serve as the internal liaison for omnichannel teams, including web ecosystem and digital experiences.
Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years content strategy and management experience (CPG experience preferred).
Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics or relevant experience.
Experience in retail with a large to mid‑sized corporate customer (key requirement).
Baseline knowledge or willingness to learn website development/HTML language (crawling/indexation, robots.txt, sitemaps, canonicals, semantic clustering, internal linking, structured data, semantic HTML, image alt‑text, external linking, metadata tags).
Digital & Shopper Marketing, Social Media, or e‑retail experience preferred.
Project Management certifications a plus.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, project ownership, and demonstrated diplomacy to convey strategic vision and detailed information to diverse audiences.
Strong presentation skills and ability to lead external partners.
Strong problem‑solving, follow‑up, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Travel
