Marketing and Media Relations Associate (Operation Christmas Child Department)
Responsibilities
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Him.
Provide traditional media pitching and generate media coverage for Operation Christmas Child through digital, print, television, and radio outlets across the nation.
Secure and coordinate media interviews for speakers, volunteers, and staff; provide media contacts and interviewees with scheduling details, key resources, messaging points, and strategy support.
Develop, monitor, and provide media coverage reports; assist with end-of-year data requests as needed.
Provide social media monitoring and correspondence across all national social channels—Facebook, Instagram, and X; engage with wall and post comments, direct messages, and group pages; follow all Samaritan's Purse communication guidelines and procedures.
Serve in a role in a Processing Center (PC) at the discretion of OCC leadership for a minimum of one week during the four to six‑week shoebox processing season in November/December; temporary relocation to a Processing Center city may be required.
1–2% of time in contact with Samaritan's Purse beneficiaries (children, young adults, adults at risk) promoting and safeguarding their welfare within the context of Samaritan's Purse operations.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Two years of college or technical school education in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field with 3–6 months of professional experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Fluency in English (required).
Position Duration: 6 months, August 2026 – February 2027.
