This is not a traditional Director role where you’re managing agencies or overseeing a large communications team. The hiring manager is specifically looking for a true corporate storyteller —someone who loves writing and wants to remain hands‑on.
They’re looking for a communications leader who enjoys personally creating:
- Executive messaging and CEO communications
- Press releases and national media stories
- Crisis communications
- Board summaries and investor messaging
- Earnings‑related communications (10‑Ks, 10‑Qs, executive talking points)
- Executive thought leadership content

What They’re Looking For
- 7+ years in Corporate Communications or Public Relations
- Public company communications experience
- Executive communications and media relations expertise
- Financial communications experience supporting earnings, board meetings, and investor relations
- Retail or consumer‑facing company experience is highly preferred
This person will serve as the company’s primary storyteller , partnering closely with executive leadership, Investor Relations, Legal, Marketing, Sustainability, and Operations to shape and protect the company’s reputation.
