Job Summary
Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing specialized areas such as operating rooms and labor and delivery after surgeries, handling contaminated linen and trash, and performing other duties as needed across LLUMC, LLUCH, and off‑site hospitals.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize operating rooms and labor & delivery areas post‑surgery.

Handle contaminated linen, trash, and related waste.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum two years of housekeeping experience in a hospital environment.

Minimum six months supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Ability to read, write, and speak in English; follow written and oral instructions; read and distinguish colors; hear sufficiently; safely operate standard equipment.

Knowledge of proper use of housekeeping equipment such as carpet/furniture extractor, floor buffer, vacuums, buckets, wringers, dust mops, dusting equipment, step ladders, cleaning carts, spray bottles, etc.

Familiarity with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies preferred.

Physical Demands and Equipment
Ability to safely operate standard cleaning equipment, use cleaning carts, and navigate hospital workspaces. Must be able to read and follow safety procedures and identify hazards.

Sign‑On Bonus
Eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to $1,000.
