At Calvary Chapel, we are called to make disciples of Jesus Christ by connecting people to God, people to people, and people to outreach. Our vision is to reach our community and change our world. As a staff member, it’s not what we do — it’s who we are.

YOUR PASSION
You have a passion for making disciples and changing the world through creative live sound mixing, innovative lighting design, and engaging video production — and for supporting every ministry at Calvary Chapel with their audio-visual needs.

YOU ARE

Convinced a relationship with Jesus changes everything in a person’s life

Committed to keeping your family as your first ministry

Dedicated to your personal study of God’s Word

Consistently placing a high priority on worship and your personal prayer life

An excellent and generous steward of your personal finances

Obedient to God in taking a Sabbath and making space for soul-keeping

Deeply compassionate toward people who are hurting or in need

Excited about global missions and local outreach — you want to change the world

Part of a healthy friendship community and accountability circle

Willing to give up personal pleasures and freedoms to live a life above reproach, aligned with our Leadership Covenant

YOU WILL

Build relationships with campus AV techs to identify AV needs, training, and implementation

Coordinate with the AVL Engineer and AV Manager on the design, standardization, and implementation of all equipment and systems

Assist with sound setup and operation for weekly events — including church services, funerals, memorials, adult education, ministries, CCA events, and other church functions — across all campuses, as needed

Support the AV team with stage builds and setups for Christmas and Easter, as needed

YOU HAVE

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with church staff and the congregation

Strong technical skills with computers, sound, and lighting equipment

Willingness to learn new sound, lighting, and video equipment and software

Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision

Flexibility and strong time-management skills

WHAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO KNOW

We are an EEO employer.

You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 50 lbs.

This is a full-time (40+ hours/week) salary exempt position.

You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.
