Technical Documentation Control Analyst I

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Documentation Control Analyst I to help maintain the accuracy, integrity, and governance of critical service parts and technical documentation data. This role works closely with Engineering, Aftermarket, and cross-functional business teams to ensure high-quality data supports downstream systems and business operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and passionate about data quality, documentation, and process improvement. This position also serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary steward for critical business data, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Monitor and maintain technical documentation and service parts data used by downstream systems.
Assess data quality and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Partner with business and engineering teams to understand and resolve data quality issues.
Establish and monitor data quality metrics, benchmarks, and improvement goals.
Conduct data quality audits and report findings to stakeholders.
Implement corrective actions to improve data accuracy and consistency.
Support governance processes that ensure data remains fit for business use.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve documentation and data-related issues.
Lead or support projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (2+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Experience working with technical documentation, data management, or data governance.
Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with engineering or documentation management systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred

Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, service, or aftermarket operations.
Experience improving data quality, documentation standards, or business processes.
Ability to independently solve moderately complex problems while following established procedures.
Experience mentoring or providing guidance to team members.
