Manager for Retail Copay Programs

In this vital role, the Manager for Retail Copay Programs is part of the Patient Access & Reimbursement team and reports to the Sr Manager of Retail Copay & Call Center. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day operations, program execution, vendor management and material development for our Retail Copay Programs; enabling patients to get started on their prescribed treatment as quickly as possible.
Responsibilities

Ensure copay program operational efficiencies and standardization, maintain program business rules, develop and implement program enhancements
Collaborate with and maintain relationship with copay administrative vendor (via regular meetings, reports, and other communications) in establishing SOPs and business rules for patient affordability and access support service offerings
Own and maintain detailed program documentation including program manuals, business rules, asset lists, architecture diagrams, etc.
Effectively oversee technical teams through copay related website and website form updates, integration updates and data management projects
Develop and execute copay program resources including patient communications, materials for patients and HCPs, and meaningful training materials in partnership with Brand; provide oversight and ensure consistency across all MAC approved copay materials
Work with Retail Call Center Manager to ensure seamless connectivity between copay programs and call center
Serve as an advisor to the Retail Channel lead on the Retail Copay Programs; work with Retail Channel Lead to ensure collaboration between brand strategies and management of copay programs
Collaborate cross‑functionally with other Amgen business units and internal partners to ensure compliant governance of program, smooth program execution, and access to data and analytics, etc.
Develop and execute patient affordability‑specific strategies with short and long‑term solutions, including completing goals and priorities to accomplish and measuring and tracking success
Evaluate across the broader PSP portfolio for program opportunities and standardization
Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Associate’s Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Preferred Qualifications

Self‑starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects
Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative, goal oriented and results driven
Strong project management skills, lead and run projects from concept to completion in a matrix and, at times, ambiguous environment
Strong organizational skills and detail‑oriented mentality
Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
3 or more years working closely with marketing, compliance, healthcare company or related experience
Experience with customer service / call center operations
Experience working with copay or patient support programs
Confidence in working with various levels of staff
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and successfully present information
Experience leading or being a part of a cross‑functional project team
Experience working with key internal or external partners, establishing, communicating and leading teams to timelines and project targets
Experience critically evaluating process and establishing creative solutions
Advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint
Utilization of Project Management tools, methodologies, and practices
Ability to influence others while fostering a value‑based environment of high performance and fairness
Demonstrates creativity and foresight in anticipating and solving complex project issues
