AV Technology Specialist

Position Overview
Part‑time position primarily covering evening and weekend events; some weekday shifts may be available. Pay range: $28.55 – $42.85 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and assist with video conference activities using Unified Communications & Collaboration tools.

Support video conferencing systems on‑site or remotely, including AV controls and digital media platforms.

Lead root‑cause analysis of technical issues to resolve trouble tickets in a timely manner.

Follow up with users to confirm problem resolution and develop supporting documentation.

Perform system upgrades and preventative maintenance tasks.

Collaborate with vendors to support the video conference service line.

Maintain an inventory of AV equipment and coordinate repair or replacement of non‑working, damaged, or obsolete items.

Recommend process and procedure changes to improve service line efficiency.

Facilitate and conduct end‑user training programs to enhance adoption and proficiency.

Provide additional support when requested or needed.

Work with business partners to define scope, gather requirements, and achieve project outcomes.

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent knowledge).

Experience: Minimum of one year IT experience or equivalent training.

Preferred: 1–2 years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Basic research, analysis, and design skills.

Basic understanding of supporting infrastructure.

Physical Requirements

Requires on‑call support on a regular basis.

Evening and weekend work.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Certifications

CompTIA Tech+ certification.
