Product Developer (NYC)

Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e‑commerce sites and is still growing.

We are seeking a Product Developer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on‑site in NYC.

Responsibilities

Support the product development team and serve as a liaison with cross‑functional partners

Enter, compile, and analyze product costs for all styles

Identify and communicate cost discrepancies

Support sampling processes by tracking concept samples from development through delivery

Coordinate with mills and vendors to ensure on‑time sample delivery

Manage time and action calendars to ensure development milestones and deadlines are met

Support product development systems and related processes

Communicate daily with overseas sourcing teams

Build and maintain strong partnerships with Design, Merchandising, Planning, and other cross‑functional teams

Skills And Qualifications

Experience supporting product development processes

Experience tracking product costs and identifying discrepancies

Experience coordinating sample development and vendor communications

Experience managing project timelines and calendars

Strong organizational and time management skills

Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional and global teams
