Responsibilities
- Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and knowledge of AP style.
- Creates engaging stories, videos, and imagery for our viewers specific to platforms.
- Code and direct daily live local newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions using Ross OverDrive and ENPS.
- Stream live and prerecorded productions using OBS Studio.
- Work closely with News Producers, Photographers, Engineers, and other Directors to enhance our final on‑air product.
- Work well in a collaborative team environment; multitask, problem‑solve, and make last‑minute decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Be self‑sufficient, managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Perform other job‑related requests and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience is preferred.
- Basic photography, videography, and editing experience.
- Experience in news operations and/or production is preferred.
- Experience with cross‑platform live streaming is preferred.
- Ross OverDrive, ENPS, Adobe Premiere, and OBS experience is a plus.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills; fluent in English, oral and written.
- Available to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays), as well as extended hours as assigned.
Compensation
$17 – $18 per hour, commensurate with applicant's experience and skill level.
