Job Responsibilities
Design preliminary Good/Better/Best options to present to client families during meetings.
Apply intake information, culture, and deceased relationship to develop preliminary designs in CAD software.
Present CAD design options along with product materials and color options during at-need arrangement or pre-need sales meetings.
Listen for client preferences, wishes, and input and immediately revise design.
Use creativity and knowledge of park/crypt/mausoleum layout to enhance design.
Influence product selection to create a lasting memorial.
Finalize product and design decisions, then update proprietary software with purchasing decision and pricing.
Design final memorial and select materials, then obtain client approval.
Revise design as necessary to ensure client satisfaction.
File pre-need designs according to procedures.
Upon at-need approval, order product material, send memorial design to vendor, and obtain estimated delivery date.
Address vendor/manufacturer questions or issues and follow up on delays.
Upon delivery, inspect materials and verify design to original specifications including font, spacing, spelling, artwork, and other design elements.
Resolve vendor issues and notify operations when the memorial is ready for installation.
After installation, notify client of completion.
Attend and actively participate in daily sales huddles reviewing the 3-day appointment schedule, outcomes, status, and outstanding issues, as well as gather information needed to prepare designs for assigned appointments.
Share positive feedback and staff kudos.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least one year in a support role, preferably in a customer service environment; experience with data-based or CAD a plus.
Proficient with the MS Office suite, particularly Outlook.
Strong attention to design detail.
Ability to learn computer-automated drawing (CAD) software.
Commitment to continual improvement of skills and industry knowledge.
Ability to self-prioritize workload to meet shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical requirement: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Bi-lingual a plus.
Work Conditions
Professional attire required when in contact with families.
Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet with clients.
