Department Bio - The Master of Science in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management (MSTHEM) program prepares students for careers in the industry and features applied, project-based learning and opportunities for participating in hands-on consulting and research projects in Washington, DC and around the world. MSTHEM is part of the Department of Management in the GW School of Business.
Position Specific Summary - As part of the MSTHEM team, the student will manage and design marketing and communication strategies and content for the program and related special events. Tasks may include: planning, creating, managing, and executing marketing plans and campaigns; developing website resources; designing digital content; and managing social media accounts. While completing work with a high level of discretion, the student will work within the organization's marketing standards and guidelines. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific team and program needs.
