Graphic Designer

Overview
Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student‑centered, forward‑thinking Graphic Designer to provide visionary leadership in an in‑person, full‑time position at the Prescott, Arizona campus, reporting to the Director of Creative and Brand Strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop creative concepts and visual solutions aligning with project goals and university brand standards.

Execute designs for publications, campaigns, digital assets, environmental graphics, and other formats.

Prepare production‑ready files for print and digital distribution, ensuring accuracy, quality, accessibility, and consistency.

Collaborate with clients, copywriters, and the design team to adhere to brand guidelines under direction from the Creative Director and Director of Creative and Brand Strategy.

Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices in higher education marketing and visual communication; contribute ideas to improve workflows.

Secondary Responsibilities

Participate in weekly creative team meetings and one‑on‑one meetings to discuss workload, priorities, and performance.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to strengthen creative solutions.

Maintain accurate project status updates and task management within the department’s system.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Creative Director or Director of Creative and Brand Strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline.

3–5 years of creative/marketing experience, preferably in a higher‑ed or agency environment.

Strong portfolio demonstrating design, typography, color, and print‑production skills.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with detail orientation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, including client pitches.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven university environment.
