About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President, Commercial to spearhead the U.S. commercial strategy for its gene therapy pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the comprehensive commercial strategy, from product launch to lifecycle management, with a strong focus on patient-centered, seamless go-to-market approaches. This role demands a leader with a proven track record in commercial leadership within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, particularly in the rare disease space. The SVP will be instrumental in building and leading a high-performing commercial organization, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Key responsibilities include setting a compelling vision for sales, account management, and marketing, and ensuring the effective engagement of key stakeholders. The role also requires a deep understanding of the rare disease landscape, treatment paradigms, and the challenges of gene therapy commercialization.

Candidates for this role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience, with a preference for those holding an advanced degree such as an MBA or scientific Ph.D. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rare disease commercialization, particularly within neurology or gene therapy, and a proven ability to operate in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. Financial and business acumen are essential, as the SVP will be responsible for overseeing the commercial operating budget and providing regular updates to the Executive Leadership Team. The role also requires exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to influence across functions. A collaborative leadership style, resilience, and adaptability are key traits for the role, which may also benefit from experience in both emerging biotech and large pharmaceutical companies.
