Reporting to the Senior Key Accounts/Programs Manager, the
Marketing
Specialist or Marketing Analyst
will lead the development and execution of CEA's marketing and communications efforts. This role is responsible for strengthening the agency's brand, managing digital communications, creating engaging content, and ensuring customers receive clear, accurate, and accessible information.

What You'll Do
As our Marketing Specialist or Marketing Analyst, you will:
Brand & Creative
Create graphics for marketing materials, reports, presentations, and customer communications
Maintain and strengthen CEA's brand identity across all platforms
Ensure messaging and visual branding remain consistent and engaging
Content & Communications
Write press releases, website articles, newsletters, and program communications
Lead communications for major initiatives including program launches, rate changes, and policy updates
Serve as a communications advisor to leadership on messaging, public engagement, and reputation management
Ensure customer communications comply with applicable regulatory requirements
Digital Marketing
Manage and enhance the CEA website, keeping content current and recommending improvements
Develop and manage social media content while monitoring engagement and responding to customer inquiries
Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, paid media, and community outreach
Public Relations & Analytics
Build relationships with media and coordinate press outreach and responses
Establish communication performance metrics and evaluate campaign effectiveness
Use analytics and customer insights to continuously improve marketing strategies
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Four years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with graphic design, digital media, and brand management
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Highly Desirable
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Experience in the energy, utility, or renewable energy industry
Knowledge of Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) operations and California energy markets
Written and verbal Spanish language proficiency

CEA offers a
hybrid work environment . Employees generally work remotely and report to the office at least once per week. Occasional local travel is required to attend meetings, community events, workshops, and agency functions.
