Role Summary
The Head of Campaigns & Marketing Platforms is responsible for the strategy, delivery, operations, and modernization of Guardian's marketing activation ecosystem. This leader owns Salesforce Marketing Cloud, campaign technology, audience activation, and the integration of the marketing content supply chain into campaign execution workflows. The role partners closely with Marketing, Creative, Content, Analytics, Architecture, and Enterprise Platforms to improve speed-to-market, personalization, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Marketing Platform Ownership

Own Salesforce Marketing Cloud as the enterprise platform for outbound marketing communications and campaign activation.
Lead platform strategy, roadmap, operations, support, governance, and vendor management.
Drive platform simplification and rationalization through consolidation of redundant technologies into Salesforce capabilities.

Campaign Technology & Delivery

Enable marketing teams to execute multi-channel campaigns at scale.
Manage campaign orchestration capabilities across email, audience activation, personalization, lead nurturing, and future digital channels.
Ensure campaigns are measurable, scalable, compliant, and operationally efficient.

Content Supply Chain Enablement

Partner with Creative & Content teams to connect campaign execution to the enterprise content supply chain.
Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Adobe Workfront, AEM Assets, Adobe Fusion, CRM, analytics, and other marketing platforms.
Improve content reuse, workflow automation, campaign throughput, and governance.

Platform Modernization

Lead migration initiatives including platform consolidations and capability rationalization.
Eliminate duplicate technologies and reduce operational complexity.
Drive adoption of AI-enabled marketing capabilities and automation.

Data & Personalization

Partner with Data, Analytics, and Architecture teams to enable audience segmentation, identity resolution, personalization, and campaign measurement.
Ensure marketing platforms leverage enterprise customer and prospect data effectively.

Leadership

Lead a team of engineers, developers, platform specialists, and vendor partners.
Establish engineering standards, operational excellence, and platform reliability.
Manage budgets, roadmaps, delivery commitments, and business stakeholder relationships.

Ideal Candidate Profile

4+ years leading Marketing Technology platforms and teams.
Expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Experience with campaign management, customer journeys, segmentation, and marketing operations.
Experience integrating marketing platforms with CRM, DAM, workflow, analytics, and content management solutions.
Strong understanding of marketing content supply chains and campaign execution processes.
Ability to lead platform modernization and technology rationalization initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management skills with Marketing, Analytics, Creative, and Technology leaders.
Experience building high-performing engineering and platform teams.
Location

Three days a week at a Guardian office in New York, NY or Holmdel, NJ
Salary Range

$118,980.00 - $195,465.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
