The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), part of DOJ, leads national efforts to reduce violence against women through VAWA. Created in 1995, OVW funds programs addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking, and builds partnerships with law enforcement, courts, advocates, and Tribal entities to support victims and hold offenders accountable.

To qualify for the position of Program Manager, at GS-0340-15, you must have AND your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Working with and/or in tribal communities on public safety issues, especially those pertaining to crimes of violence against women and resources for victims. AND/OR
Familiarity analyzing and/or applying applicable laws and regulations (e.g., tribal provisions of the Violence Against Women Act).
