Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Regional Director of Sales is to oversee and manage the sales efforts of the hotels in order to generate group, corporate, and other business opportunities that support revenue growth and overall hotel performance. This position is responsible for directing the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, monitoring production, supporting key client relationships, and coordinating sales efforts with hotel operations and leadership.

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the Sales Department, including strategic planning, revenue production, team leadership, and the execution of sales initiatives that support the hotel’s business objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Supervise, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of the Sales Department.
Establish sales goals, expectations, and performance standards for sales team members.
Monitor sales staff performance, production, and account activity to ensure revenue goals and business objectives are being met.
Develop and implement sales strategies, action plans, and market approaches to increase hotel revenue, expand market share, and promote business opportunities.
Analyze business trends, booking pace, market conditions, account production, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
Work with hotel leadership to develop forecasts, budgets, and revenue plans related to group and corporate business.
Provide guidance, support, and direction to sales team members in prospecting, account management, negotiations, and client communication.
Participate in the solicitation, development, and maintenance of key accounts, business relationships, and major opportunities.
Respond to and assist with the resolution of customer concerns, service issues, and account-related matters.
Coordinate with operations, revenue management, catering, and other departments to ensure business needs are communicated and group or client expectations are met.
Review sales reports, production data, and other performance metrics to evaluate results and identify areas for improvement.
Assist with interviewing, training, coaching, evaluating, and developing sales team members.
Provide input regarding staffing, performance management, disciplinary matters, and departmental structure.
Represent the hotel in sales calls, networking events, community functions, and other business development opportunities as needed.
Perform additional duties involving budgeting, reporting, personnel matters, and departmental administration as required.
Any other duties which may be required to support guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and the successful operation of the hotel.
