Akkodis is seeking a Swift Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality iOS and macOS applications while integrating backend services and AI-powered capabilities to enhance user experiences and business outcomes.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Swift Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native applications for iOS and macOS using Swift, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services, utilizing JSON-based data exchange to support seamless client-server communication.
Develop and enhance backend components using GoLang while optimizing application performance through effective use of data structures, algorithms, and SQL.
Integrate Generative AI capabilities using Claude to enhance product features, automate workflows, and improve user experiences.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver innovative solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and Git-based source control processes while maintaining clean, well-documented, and maintainable codebases.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mobile Application Development, or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience in iOS/macOS application development, software engineering, or mobile application development using Swift.
Strong expertise in Swift, iOS/macOS application development, RESTful APIs, JSON, SQL, data structures, algorithms, and Git-based source control practices.
Hands-on experience with GoLang backend development and Generative AI integrations (Claude), along with the ability to build scalable applications and collaborate effectively within Agile, cross-functional development teams.
