Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst
We are building a modern, AI-empowered Finance function inside a growing private equity-backed manufacturing business — and we’re looking for an FP&A Analyst who is ready to learn fast, contribute broadly, and grow your career.
This is not a narrow, task-based role. From day one you will be involved across financial planning, cash flow forecasting, accounting partnership, financial reporting, and AI-powered automation — working directly alongside the CFO and Accounting team in a hands-on, high-visibility environment. You will be trained on and expected to actively use AI tools, including Anthropic’s Claude integrated with our ERP (NetSuite), to build smarter models, workflows and automate recurring analysis.
If you’re intellectually curious, eager to build your skills across the full spectrum of FP&A and finance operations, and excited by the idea of working with AI tools that most Finance teams are only beginning to explore — this role was written for you.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis
Support the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes using driver-based financial models
Perform variance analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development to inform operational and strategic decisions
Assist in preparing executive, Board, lender, and PE sponsor reporting packages — learning to translate financial data into clear narratives and actionable insights
Build and maintain financial models spanning pricing, profitability, capital investments, and strategic initiatives
Cash Flow & Operational Finance
Support weekly 13-week cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis, and liquidity tracking
Analyze performance across products, customers, inventory, and operational initiatives to surface risks and opportunities
Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to connect operational activity to financial outcomes
Contribute to KPI development and financial analysis tied to operational improvement programs
Accounting Partnership & Finance Operations
Work closely with the Accounting team as a day-to-day partner — supporting month-end close, accruals, and ensuring financial data flows accurately into planning models
Assist with finance and accounting activities where analytical or modeling skills add value — including journal entry support, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and period-end close processes
Help maintain the chart of accounts, cost center structures, and reporting hierarchies that underpin both financial reporting and FP&A models
Help develop and automate shared Finance/Accounting workflows using AI tools, reducing manual handoffs and improving accuracy across both functions
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages — including consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements across entities
Support the financial consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, entity-level roll-ups, and multi-entity variance analysis
Help maintain management reporting frameworks that give leadership consistent, accurate, and timely financial visibility
Contribute to automating consolidated reporting outputs using NetSuite, Power BI, and AI-assisted tools to reduce cycle time
Support audit readiness by keeping financial data clean, well-documented, and aligned with accounting standards and internal controls
AI Analytics & Finance Automation
Learn and work hands-on with AI tools — including Anthropic’s Claude platform integrated with NetSuite — to build automated reports, recurring analysis workflows, and intelligent forecasting tools
Develop prompt engineering skills to extract insights, automate analysis, and build AI-powered financial tools alongside our team
Help identify and eliminate manual reporting bottlenecks; improve data accessibility and forecast accuracy through integrated datasets
Contribute to the Finance team’s AI and automation roadmap as these capabilities grow into a core organizational competency
Strategic Growth & Acquisition Integration
Support financial analysis for organic growth initiatives, capital investments, and acquisition targets
Participate in acquisition integration activities: synergy tracking, financial process standardization, and onboarding new entities
Gain meaningful exposure to strategic planning, PE operating environments, and executive-level decision-making
Grow into expanded ownership and leadership responsibilities as the Finance organization scales
Requirements
Core Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
2–4+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or financial analysis experience
Solid Excel and financial modeling skills; working knowledge of financial statements and forecasting fundamentals
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Genuine curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging analytics tools — eagerness to learn and build, not just consume
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative, coachable, and clear communicator across finance and non-finance teams
Additional Qualifications
Manufacturing, industrial, or operational finance background
Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment
Any hands-on exposure to AI tools, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted workflows
Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI/data visualization experience
NetSuite or comparable ERP system experience
SQL, Power Query, or other data analysis techniques
Exposure to M&A integration, consolidations, or finance transformation initiatives
