The Staff Calibration Technician has the overall responsibility of performing accurate and timely calibrations within the guidelines and policies of NI. This position offers the opportunity to work with our stakeholders to deliver world class services while continuing your growth as a calibration professional.Core Job ResponsibilitiesPerform calibrations on customer equipment in the laboratory as well as at their siteSupport the maintenance of our ISO 17025 accreditationSupport the development and implementation of processes used in the Calibration Services LaboratoryAdhere to our Quality Management System and ISO 17025Adhere to all NI Corporate policiesProvide interpretations of calibration resultsParticipate during internal and external auditsAssist in review and technical analysis on laboratory nonconformanceSupport the performance of routine maintenance, inter-laboratory comparison and intermediate check of Laboratory equipmentQualificationsBasic RequirementsIn laboratory calibration experienceAssociate degree in a technical discipline plus 3 years of experience in electrical measurement OR formal calibration training plus 4 years of experience in electrical measurement calibrationKnowledge of ISO 17025<20 % TravelPreferred RequirementsStrong knowledge in instrumentation, first-hand experience with signal analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and modular instruments is preferredExamples include but are not limited to: Keysight 3458A Digital Multimeter, Fluke 57XXA Multifunction Calibrators, Rohde & Schwarz FSUP26, Fluke 9500B Oscilloscope CalibratorKnowledge and experience in use of automated calibration environments such as NI's Calibration Executive, Metcal, EtcExperience participating in 17025 accreditation auditsOur Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
