SENIOR DESIGNER / DESIGN DIRECTOR - Missy Daytime Dresses & Missy Modern Updated

We are seeking two talented Senior Designers - Design Directors to join our established dress company in New York City — one specializing in Missy Daytime Dresses and the other in Missy Modern Updated Social Dresses. The Senior Designer/Design Director will be responsible for leading and executing designs from sketch to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring brand consistency. You will also conduct market research and stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices. You will also collaborate with the Owner, President of Sales/Merchandising, and Production Team. All design implementation and execution are done on the premises with drapers, sewers, cutters, and pattern makers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts is a plus

Proven experience as a Senior Designer or a similar role in Dresses, with a focus on Daytime or Modern Updated Social/Eveningwear

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite/Illustrator

Understanding of visual design principles and layout techniques/draping and execution

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Experience in the fashion industry is a must with at least 5 years of experience

Salary: $100,000- $180,000, Depending on Level of Experience
