Purpose of the roleThe Campaign Manager works with both their clients and their team to ensure the efficient and effective running of their accounts. They clearly understand their clients’ objectives and requirements, the commercial terms of their retained accounts and projects and level of resource required to service the accounts. Client facing, Campaign Managers translate quick but creative thinking into decisive action; providing team management, delegation of tasks and exceptional media relations skills.With a strong and growing cybersecurity practice, we’re currently looking for a Campaign Manager with deep cybersecurity experience, including an understanding of the security landscape and trends, and relationships with cybersecurity reporters across trade and business media. Broader B2B tech experience across cloud, digital infrastructure, data management and AI is a plus.Key responsibilities and tasksClient ManagementAssists the team with the management of client accounts and projects, helping to establish TEAM LEWIS as an invaluable long-term partner for marketing and communications servicesCoordinates communication (including meetings and reviews) with clients, adhering to deadlines and client service level agreementsSupports the new business process by providing research and coordinationAssists with the coordination of press tours, events and review programsMedia Relations Understands and avidly follows the news agenda, positioning clients and products within contextResearches and identifies appropriate journalists, bloggers and analysts on an on-going basisDevelops media and blogger relationships for self and on behalf of the teamMonitors relevant news sources and alerts the team to relevant breaking news opportunitiesDevelops an understanding of strong news angles and media opportunities, escalating these to more senior team membersOrganizes and coordinates media interviews and press briefingsContentDrafts a broad range of written materials including biographies, briefing documents, media alerts, soundbites, Q&As, backgrounders and boilerplatesCreates press materials and compelling content for both traditional and digital mediaCreates valuable and insightful briefing sheets to assist clients with their press communicationsDevelops and shares knowledge around how to find a good news angle or hookFocuses on improving writing ability, adapting and refining style to suit the needs of the clientDigital / Social mediaUses social media platforms to expand own network, develop media relationships and positively impact client resultsProvides social media insight as well as execution and management of related digital activityTeam working and developmentEnsures personal and deliverable client objectives are met on an on-going basisAccurately reports activity levels and regularly completes timesheets to ensure correct allocation of client and team dutiesEscalates general new business requests to appropriate team membersWorks closely with line manager to maximize own strengths, improve weaknesses and support individual and team career developmentRegularly attends TEAM LEWIS training sessions and daily press briefings to enhance skills and develop knowledgeReporting and analysisTracks and reports on media activity, including coverage reports, press clippings, online media engagement, showing progress using metricsEnsures that all account activity and results are reported back to the Senior Campaign Executive / Campaign Manager / Campaign DirectorCommunicates account performance internally at account reviewsProvides reports to the Campaign Manager, Campaign Director or senior management team on requestGeneralSupports the Account Servicing team on ad hoc initiatives and projectsTakes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its work, identity and valuesSupports the HR / talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral schemeContributes and supports the continuous improvement of systems, practices and policiesAbout youIdeally, previous internship experience of working in a PR, marketing or digital communications environmentAttention to detail Proven written ability in English and local languagesCreative thinking Confident presentation skills Keen interest in the media: print and broadcast Calmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines Clear interest in current affairs and news agenda This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the responsibilities for this role.
