Job Description

J.S. Held's Complex Accounting & Litigation team is seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead and expand our investigative consulting services. This is a senior leadership role for a professional with deep experience in complex investigations and litigation paired with a strong track record of building high-performing teams and growing a book of business. As a Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, leading high-impact engagements, mentoring talent, and cultivating long-term client relationships across industries and geographies.
Strategic Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of investigative professionals across multiple regions.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and client service.
Drive internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.
Client Engagement & Project Oversight
Oversee and execute complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations involving regulatory inquiries, compliance reviews, financial transactions, and litigation support.
Guide the development of client deliverables including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strategic insight.
Business Development & Market Expansion
Expand your book of business and contribute to the growth of the Global Investigations Practice.
Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and corporate clients.
Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
Qualifications

10+ years of experience in investigative consulting, compliance, or forensic advisory roles.
Proven leadership experience with a focus on team development and client delivery.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working across international jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $240k - $260k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
