Senior Marketing Manager
We're hiring a Senior Marketing Manager to own execution across every campaign we run. Within your lane, you have real authority. You scope and cut vendors, set deadlines, approve creative, and decide what ships and when. What you don't get is a large team to delegate to, or a founder who stays out of marketing.
A large part of this job is organizational. At any given moment, we have a dozen things in flight across sales channels with a mix of internal people and outside partners touching each one. You're the person who knows where every piece stands, what's blocking it, and who owes what by when. If a deadline is going to slip, you know before it slips. If you want a role where you set the growth strategy top to bottom, this isn't it. If you want a role where you run the machine and get credit for how well it runs, keep reading.
What you'll own:
- Campaign planning and execution across paid social, email/SMS, retail, and organic — end-to-end, from brief to post-mortem
- Our external partners: creative agencies, freelancers, and contractors. Scoping the work, setting deadlines, reviewing output, and cutting what isn't performing
- The marketing calendar. Product launches, promotional moments, Black Friday, seasonal pushes
- Timelines, dependencies, and follow-through. Breaking a launch into steps, sequencing them backward from the ship date, assigning owners, and chasing them down until it's finished
- Creative briefs and the creative pipeline. Working with editors, UGC creators, and designers to keep a steady flow of testable assets
- Coordination across our internal team — ecommerce, Amazon, TikTok, and organic content all touch your calendar
- Channel reporting and campaign performance. You'll be expected to read the numbers and tell us what to stop, scale, or fix
- Landing pages, advertorials, and promotional mechanics, in partnership with our ecom lead
Beyond that:
- 5–9 years in marketing, with most of it in ecommerce or DTC
- Exceptional organization. You keep a lot of moving pieces on track at once without dropping any of them, you're comfortable being the person who holds other people to their deadlines, and you have a system for it that isn't your memory
- A track record managing agencies and freelancers, not just working alongside them. We want someone who has fired a bad vendor and can explain why
- Comfort with the numbers: CAC, LTV, MER, contribution margin, and how a campaign decision moves them
- Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Seller Central, and TikTok Shop are all pluses.
- Strong written communication. Briefs, feedback, and updates that people can actually act on
- The judgment to work without a lot of process, and the instinct to build process where it's missing
Nice to Have:
- Experience with retail or marketplace channels alongside DTC
- Familiarity with creator-led and UGC-heavy creative strategy
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Don't Apply if:
- You wait to be told what the priority is
- You bring solutions and not problems
- You see a problem outside your job description and walk past it
- You need clean lines around your role and get uncomfortable stepping over them
- Direct feedback rattles you, or you need a compliment sandwich to hear it
- You need to be right more than you need the thing to work
Do Apply if:
- You have your ego in check and have the humility to know you might be wrong.
- You have a dog; we make exceptions for cats, but...
- You have something to prove, and you're not shy about it
- You take on a project, and it gets done, without anyone checking in on you
- You'd rather move and be corrected than wait a week for a blessing
- You can be wrong out loud, fix it, and move on the same day
- You've been the most organized person in every room you've worked in, and it's started to annoy you that nobody else keeps up
Compensation: The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000. The final offer will reflect the candidate's relevant experience, depth of industry knowledge, and demonstrated track record.
