Social Media SpecialistJoin our award-winning agency, ICF Next. We're changemakers, a community of mission driven creatives, communicators, strategists, and technologists.We're searching for our next Social Media Specialist to work with our teams across federal, state, and local government client accounts. This is a hybrid role requiring the ability to travel onsite to the client's office in Rockville, MD up to one day per week.As a Social Media Specialist, you will:Support the Social Media Lead in the day-to-day management of client social media channels, including scheduling and publishing content using approved toolsResearch, write, and edit engaging social media copy and content across platforms, ensuring adherence to brand voice, plain language, and Section 508 accessibility standardsAssist in monitoring social media channels and compiling social listening data on conversations, trends, and sentimentSupport social media event coverage, such as Twitter chats, Facebook Live events, and other real-time engagement opportunitiesCreate and schedule content using UTM links and platform scheduling tools to support campaign trackingUpload and caption videos to client YouTube channels and other video platforms as neededAssist with the development of graphics and templates for use in social media posts, working with creative team membersTrack and compile performance metrics and support the preparation of monthly reporting and recommendationsProvide backup coverage for posting and community management as neededAssist in the development of content calendars and campaign materials for national observances and key eventsThrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks on a day-to-day basisRequired qualifications:3+ years of experience in social media platform management and content development3+ years of experience writing and editing social media content across platforms3+ years of experience with social media platform management, content development, analytics and listening toolsUS citizenship is required by the contractPreferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field2+ years of experience at an advertising or consulting agencyExperience working in highly regulated industries or with government agencies to build social media communications plansExperience developing public health plans and strategiesProfessional skills:Demonstrated experience integrating creative, data/analytics, and/or other client services teams to develop fully integrated, insight-driven campaignsExperience developing social media and communications plans and presenting to leadership teamsDetail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and prioritiesStrong writing skillsStrong proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft WordComfortable working with remote teamsAbility to work independently, seek help as needed and contribute to team and company culturePlease note: This role is contingent upon a contract award.
