About the Role
We are seeking a
commercially minded Marketing Manager
who can translate company strategy into focused, actionable marketing plans.
This is a strategic and hands-on role spanning
market positioning, vertical strategy, product marketing, digital marketing, brand, content, SEO, events, channel strategy, sales enablement, and marketing analytics .
The successful candidate will understand that different markets and customer groups require different positioning, messaging, channel strategies, and measures of success. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, identify weaknesses, make clear recommendations, and ensure execution remains aligned with commercial objectives.
This is a
team-leading role from day one , with marketing budget ownership and the ability to bring in additional support, including internal hires, contractors, agencies, creators, and external partners as the function grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy, Positioning & Planning
Develop and maintain an actionable marketing strategy aligned with company and commercial objectives.
Work directly with leadership to translate strategic decisions into priorities, campaigns, budgets, and timelines.
Analyze competitors, market trends, positioning, strengths, vulnerabilities, and opportunities.
Own marketing budgeting, forecasting, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Vertical & Segment Strategy
Evaluate individual market verticals, customers, opportunities, and barriers.
Develop differentiated strategies across products, markets, verticals, and customer segments.
Define target audiences, value propositions, positioning, messaging, content, channel mix, and commercial objectives.
Identify new market opportunities and recommend where marketing resources should increase, decrease, or be redirected.
Product & Channel Growth
Identify high-potential products and develop focused campaigns to accelerate growth.
Work closely with sales to identify suitable channels and develop channel-entry strategies.
Create channel-specific positioning, messaging, campaigns, and sales enablement materials.
Plan and coordinate product launches, including proposition, messaging, launch schedules, content, sales support, and post-launch reviews.
Sales Alignment & Cross-Functional Leadership
Maintain strong alignment with sales, leadership, product, and operations.
Translate sales feedback, customer objections, and market intelligence into actionable marketing initiatives.
Support lead generation and establish clear processes around lead ownership, quality, follow-up, and conversion.
Build effective relationships across US and international teams through regular meetings and planning sessions.
Digital Marketing, Content & Brand
Manage social media strategy, content calendars, campaigns, and performance.
Oversee website SEO and website-led campaigns to improve visibility, engagement, and conversion.
Coordinate content across social media, websites, email, product launches, and sales materials.
Maintain consistent brand positioning across markets, channels, partners, and communications.
Manage marketing assets including photography, video, brochures, presentations, and sales collateral.
Events & Partnerships
Develop event strategies based on target audience, strategic relevance, and commercial value.
Manage pre-event promotion, on-site activity, sales coordination, and post-event follow-up.
Support distributor, installer, and partner marketing initiatives.
Manage agencies, contractors, creators, and external partners against scope, quality, deadlines, and budget.
Measurement & Optimization
Establish KPIs for campaigns, products, channels, events, and verticals.
Measure performance against strategy, objectives, and budget.
Identify gaps between strategy and execution and recommend corrective action.
Provide leadership with concise reporting covering results, commercial insights, risks, and recommendations.
Continuously refine marketing plans using customer feedback, sales input, and performance data.
What We're Looking For
Demonstrable experience in
Marketing Management, Product Marketing, or commercially focused marketing .
Strong strategic thinking, planning, budgeting, and project-management skills.
Experience developing differentiated strategies across multiple products, audiences, markets, customer segments, or verticals.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect marketing activity with sales channels, revenue opportunities, and customer adoption.
Experience across
social media, content, websites, SEO, digital marketing, and integrated campaigns .
Strong analytical skills, including KPI development, performance interpretation, and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence working directly with leadership and sales teams.
Ability to understand technically differentiated products and communicate their advantages credibly.
Strong ownership, sound judgment, and ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strategic focus.
Native or professional-level fluent English.

Michigan is our second-choice location due to its proximity to Illinois.

Compensation & Benefits
