Strategic Communications SpecialistIMS is seeking adaptable, detail-oriented Strategic Communications professionals to support the development and execution of communication strategies for complex, mission-driven programs. This role blends strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and content production, helping translate technical work into clear, impactful messaging that drives awareness and program success.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Communications Planning & ExecutionSupport development and execution of strategic communications plans, including messaging, branding, and outreach initiativesAlign communication strategies with program goals, stakeholder priorities, and leadership directionContribute to campaigns that increase awareness of program outcomes, capabilities, and impactContent Development & MessagingDevelop and edit a wide range of communication products, including: articles, success stories, and opinion pieces; executive briefings, reports, and presentations; talking points, key messages, and FAQsTranslate technical and programmatic information into clear, audience-appropriate contentCoordinate with SMEs to gather inputs and ensure accuracyStakeholder Engagement & CoordinationCollaborate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external partners to align messaging and prioritiesSupport stakeholder identification, engagement planning, and communication touchpointsParticipate in and support meetings, workshops, and working groups to gather insights and drive alignmentProgram Support & Communications OperationsCapture and distribute meeting summaries, action items, and communication updates to maintain alignmentTrack communications activities, deliverables, and metrics across initiativesSupport recurring deliverables such as monthly reports, presentations, and status updatesMaintain and organize communication artifacts, content libraries, and knowledge repositoriesResearch, Analysis & Continuous ImprovementConduct market and stakeholder research to inform communication strategies and content developmentAnalyze communication effectiveness and recommend improvements or alternative approachesSupport feedback mechanisms (e.g., surveys, workshops, stakeholder input sessions) to refine messaging and strategyCommunications Products & OutreachSupport development of visually engaging materials such as presentations, infographics, and multimedia contentAssist in planning and executing events, workshops, or outreach initiatives to enhance program visibilityEnsure communications comply with client, branding, and public affairs requirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field3–8+ years of experience in communications, strategic communications, public affairs, or related fieldExperience supporting multiple stakeholders and managing competing prioritiesExperience supporting DoD, AFRL, or federal contracting environmentsExperience with content strategy, campaign planning, or communications analyticsExperience with tools such as ClickUp, Adobe, or visualization platformFamiliarity with research, innovation, or technology-driven programsMeets U.S. citizenship and work eligibility requirements for federal contractorsMust possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance, if requiredSkills & Competencies:Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skillsAbility to translate complex or technical topics into clear, compelling messagingStrategic thinking and message developmentStrong written and verbal communicationStakeholder engagement and collaborationOrganizational and time management skillsAnalytical mindset and attention to detailAdaptability in fast-paced, client-driven environmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)Infinite Management Solutions, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and a 100% woman-owned company.
