US BBU Team is looking for a Strategic Accounts Executive to manage productivity within key external accounts, contributing toward our vision of being a leader in US Biosimilars. The role serves as the single point of contact for key accounts and external stakeholders to support the adoption of our products into their treatment pathways for targeted on‑label indications, GPO agreements, and cross‑functional partnership engagement.
What You’ll Do Develop and execute key account strategies in collaboration with the regional director to ensure long‑term success and profitability of the US BBU portfolio.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, internal policies, and licensor agreements at global and local levels.
Identify opportunities and evolving trends to create mutually beneficial collaborations that increase patient access and improve quality of care.
Maintain regular interactions with key accounts, HCPs, and administrators to understand and collaborate on account needs.
Collaborate routinely with local commercial teams and cross‑functional partners to improve account engagement and strengthen Biogen’s trust and value.
Generate biosimilar marketplace advocacy through strong partnerships with other SAEs and coordination with NSL, NADs, RADs, MADs, and headquarters personnel.
Prioritize daily, weekly, and quarterly account plans to guide adoption and engagement frequency.
Manage projects related to account adoption of approved products.
Provide appropriate medical and/or patient support and ensure engagement aligns with label policy.
Who You Are You will be part of a global business unit and a team that is empowered to work autonomously, agilely, and decisively to deliver for patients. Experience with biosimilars, strategic account management, and a history of unlocking potential for patient transformation is expected.
Qualifications Minimum 5–7 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience in cross‑functional roles such as sales, sales management, or market access (Retina experience considered in lieu of the minimum).
Strong reimbursement account management experience and familiarity with complex accounts.
Deep knowledge of managed care at regional and national levels.
Technical understanding of health‑care reimbursement from a patient perspective and current/future health‑care policies, practices, trends, and technology.
Strong organizational and communication skills to navigate interactions between US BBU and external customers.
Advanced understanding of compliance with OIG and regulatory requirements.
Proven account management abilities with adherence to industry compliance and ethical standards.
2+ years of experience in Retina, Immunology, or Buy & Bill healthcare models is highly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 40–80% of the time.
BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
Applicants must reside within the designated territory.
Additional Information & Benefits Base compensation range: $138,400 to $211,100, determined by experience, equity, and location.
Eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
