Overview
The Sr. Director, HCP Marketing will lead the development and execution of the US HCP marketing strategy for barzolvolimab in preparation for Celldex’s first commercial launch. This role is responsible for defining the HCP journey, understanding key behavioral drivers, and building HCP engagement and activation strategies to deliver a highly successful launch.
Reporting directly into the Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Operations, this individual will work cross-functionally with Patient Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and external agency partners to ensure the HCP perspective is embedded across all launch efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, a desire to build organizational marketing capabilities, and depth of expertise in marketing Immunology and Inflammation therapies.
The Sr. Director, HCP Marketing will build and lead the HCP marketing team, including home office Product Director and regional Field Marketing Managers.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the US HCP marketing strategy for barzolvolimab in preparation for product launch
Define the end-to-end HCP journey, including identification of unmet needs, key behavioral drivers, moments that matter, and access implications
Establish HCP positioning and messaging
Develop and implement HCP engagement and activation strategies, with a strong focus on in person promotion and omnichannel execution
Establish Marketing Excellence capabilities within organization
Manage medical congress planning and execution
Manage annual brand planning processes
Build and lead HCP marketing team
Collaborate cross-functionally with Patient Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, and Patient Services teams to ensure aligned execution
Manage the HCP marketing budget, including agency and media, and ROI assessment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
10+ years pharmaceutical experience with 6+ years of HCP marketing experience required
Prior team leadership required
Prior sales experience preferred
Prior product launch experience required
Demonstrated experience and understanding of Large Group Practice, Key Account and GPO Strategy and execution
HCP marketing experience in Allergy, Immunology and Dermatology preferred
Prior experience with physician administered, buy and bill products preferred
Prior experience with products with commercial payer mix preferred
Ability to connect marketing investments with sales and enterprise results, including deep analytics of, and continuous optimization of, HCP marketing investments
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to synthesize insights into actionable plans
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience leading cross-functional project teams
Ability to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders around shared goals
Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, advocacy partners, and external vendors
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting priorities in a pre-launch setting
Willing to share, debate, challenge, defend your ideas
Courage to embrace and lead change
Demonstrated competencies needed to succeed in a startup or pre-commercial biotech environment, with a strong execution mindset: plan - organize - execute

Compensation Statement
The expected base salary for this position is: $203157.00 to $263841.00. We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market. Subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms, compensation includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
