NovaForge Studios is a small team in Tampa, Florida building tools for tabletop and trading card game players, created to replace the patchwork of apps players juggle to play with friends.

About the Role
NovaForge Studios is hiring a contract 3D artist to own its stylized asset pipeline end-to-end, from originating 2D concepts through modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating in 3D, delivered as pre-rendered animation.

Originate 2D concept art for the main app character and new in-app assets
Build the main character's hero package: model, texture, and rig in 3D, including a facial expression system
Deliver three-view design sheets, an expression set, and pose studies that anchor the catalog's canon
Author microinteraction, emote, and hero-object animation sets
Render and export shipped animation as flipbook loops (animated WebP) within published frame and duration budgets, with frame counts recorded per loop
Ship a designed static-settle frame for every animated piece as a first-class reduced-motion deliverable
Deliver to file standards, including separated render layers where specified plus editable masters (3D scenes and layered 2D files)
Keep masters migration-ready with sensible topology, named rig controls, and clip organization a future real-time pipeline could consume without rework

Mid-level experience across 3D modeling, texturing, and character modeling
Facial rigging and animation capability, including expression systems
2D and 3D animation skills plus illustration for originating concepts
Ability to deliver pre-rendered animation, not engine-locked output - Unreal Engine and Unity workflows or packages are not acceptable deliverables
Original design work only

Compensation
USD $5,000 - $8,000, one-time project fee.
