StephenCenter has served homeless and low-income individuals in Omaha since1984 with the mission to partner with the community, families andindividuals to overcome homelessness, addiction and poverty. ThePettigrew Emergency Shelter and Permanent Supportive Housing offeringsprovide safe and secure housing while individuals and families completean assessment of permanent housing options. All Stephen Center residentshave access to dual diagnosis support services via the HEROaddiction/recovery program. 100% of Stephen Center shelter supportivehousing participants are living in poverty. Housing transition supportidentifies poverty barriers that may impact one’s ability to achieve ormaintain permanent housing through case management, life skills, andbehavioral health services. Stephen Center serves approximately 250people daily in all programs.

Purpose:
The Digital Communications Coordinatorwill support the development and execution of Stephen Center’s digitalmarketing and communications strategy. This includes ownership of contentstrategy, consistent content creation across platforms, analytics/ reporting,campaigns, email marketing, brand management, video, measurable growth, andcollaboration with external marketing partners.

This is a strategicand hands-on role—one that requires both big-picture thinking and day-to-dayexecution. The right candidate understands that what works on LinkedIn may notwork on Instagram, and that storytelling, timing, and audience matter just asmuch as content itself.

K ey Accountabilities:
Strategy & Planning

Support the development andimplementation of a comprehensive digital marketing and content strategy

Assist in determining platform-specificstrategies based on audience and intent

Collaborate with leadership to supportorganizational priorities, campaigns, and initiatives

Track performance metrics and contributeto data-informed strategy adjustments

Social Media Management

Manage day-to-day social media channels,including content planning, creation, scheduling, and engagement

Ensure content reflects theorganization’s voice, mission, and values

Identify trends, tools, and opportunitiesto expand reach and engagement

Monitor and report on performance andaudience insights

Email Marketing & CampaignStrategy

Partner with the AppealsCoordinator to support the development of strategic email campaigns that alignwith organizational fundraising and engagement goals

Assist in shaping theme,messaging, and copy for email appeals that either complement broader multimediacampaigns or function as standalone email-only initiatives

Develop and execute drip emailcampaigns to support donor cultivation, stewardship, and conversion followingkey touch points

Coordinate follow-up emailstrategies tied to hard copy mailers and newsletters, ensuring continuity inmessaging and timing once pieces land in-home

Support A/B testing of subjectlines, content, timing, and calls-to-action to optimize performance andengagement

Content Creation &Storytelling

Capture and produce content, includingphotos, videos, and written storytelling

Utilize current tools and technologies toenhance video production and messaging

Highlight client impact andorganizational outcomes in a thoughtful and dignified way

Vendor & PartnerCollaboration

Serve as a liaison with third-partymarketing and creative partners

Assist in coordination of annualmarketing strategies and campaign initiatives

Help ensure alignment between internalpriorities and external execution.

Success Measures

Increase engagement and reach acrosssocial media platforms

Improve website traffic, usability, andaudience interaction

Support visibility of programs, services,and fundraising initiatives through strategic campaigns

Strengthen brand consistency andstorytelling across all digital platforms

Contribute to measurable growth inaudience and community engagement

Qualifications:

Bachelor’sdegree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalentexperience)

2–5+ years ofexperience in digital marketing, communications, or related role

Demonstratedability to think strategically about marketing—not just execute content

Experiencemanaging social media platforms and analyzing performance metrics

Familiaritywith website content management systems (CMS)

Experiencewith video creation/editing tools and digital content platforms

Experiencewith tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Canva,Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms

Strongwriting and communication skills

Ability towork independently and collaboratively

Must conduct oneself with professionalism and in alignment withStephen Center’s mission and values

Additional Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for eventsetup or content capture

Occasional evening or weekendavailability for events or content capture

Valid driver’s license and reliabletransportation preferred
