About the Role
Our client, a burgeoning film production company based in Welkom , is seeking a skilled and passionate Film Editor to join their creative team. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into cohesive and engaging narratives according to director's vision and script requirements.
- Select appropriate shots, scenes, and sound to create optimal pacing and emotional impact.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and sound designers throughout the post-production process.
- Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and sound elements to enhance the final film.
- Ensure technical quality and consistency of the final edit, conforming to broadcast or distribution standards.
- Manage and organize project files, assets, and backups efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Film Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing narrative and documentary work.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
- Solid understanding of storytelling techniques, pacing, and rhythm in filmmaking.
- Experience with color correction, sound mixing, and basic VFX integration.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a production team.
