Based in California | Goodwood Road Racing Club, USA
Goodwood is building something new in America, and this role gets to define what it sounds and feels like.
GRRC USA is a startup within a legendary brand. We're building the US marketing operation largely from scratch, drawing on Goodwood's UK heritage but shaping a proposition, voice and campaign approach that's genuinely built for an American audience. We need a Marketing Manager who wants to define that positioning, not just run a playbook that already exists.
This is a builder role, not a caretaker role. You'll be joining pre-launch, shaping brand messaging, acquisition strategy and market positioning before membership even opens. Expect ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a small, closely-connected team where everyone mucks in. If you want a fully-formed strategy to execute, this isn't it. If you want to write the strategy, keep reading.
What you'll be doing
Owning the GRRC USA marketing strategy and plan, tied to membership acquisition, retention and event sell-out targets
Shaping the US brand proposition, messaging and market positioning, conveying Goodwood's heritage and premium values in a way that lands authentically with an American audience
Leading integrated campaigns across paid, owned, earned and partner channels, from the Founding Membership launch onward
Owning media planning and buying in the US market, plus content creator and influencer partnerships as an acquisition tool
Running CRM and lifecycle communications with the UK team
Acting as brand guardian for GRRC in the US, protecting brand IP, heritage and reputation at every touchpoint
Managing the PR agency and shaping the US social and PR strategy alongside UK counterparts
Taking strategic ownership of the GRRC USA membership app: setting the vision, tone and KPIs, and managing a Marketing Executive who runs day-to-day community activity
Owning the marketing budget, forecasting spend, and using data to continually optimize performance
What you'll bring
A track record of creating, launching or building something (a brand, a proposition, a campaign approach, a market position), not just executing against someone else's brief
Experience shaping mission-led marketing and messaging that conveys real organisational purpose and values, not just product features
High energy and genuine enthusiasm you can bring to members, colleagues and partners. We want energy-givers, not mood hoovers
The confidence to challenge how things are done, ask why, and push for better
Comfort with ambiguity. Priorities, systems and audiences will shift as we learn what works in the US
Experience running integrated campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels, with budget and media buying experience
Experience managing agencies, external partners and people
Experience in motorsport, automotive or adjacent premium sectors, helpful but not essential
Background in mission-led organisations, high-growth startups, tech or other purpose-driven brands where you've built something from scratch
Experience briefing or shaping a roadmap for an app, platform or digital community product
Experience with CRM/email platforms such as DotDigital
A genuine passion for cars or motorsport: a bonus, not a requirement
Comfort working across international teams and time zones
The details
Based in California, with regular travel to GRRC USA events and a trip to the UK for your Goodwood induction

Goodwood is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
If you're commercially sharp, creative, comfortable building from scratch, and bring energy to everything you do, we want to hear from you.
