PAID SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT APPRENTICE
Doc Watts Electric | Central Florida
Part-Time | 5 Hours/Week | $15–$20/Hour

Are you a college student who loves Instagram, TikTok, Canva, Reels, and creating content?

Doc Watts Electric is looking for a creative, motivated college student who wants to gain real-world social media and marketing experience while building a professional portfolio.

You not need years of marketing experience. We are looking for someone who understands social media, is creative, dependable, and willing to learn.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your primary job will be to take the photos, videos, and information we provide and turn them into engaging social media content.

Each week, you'll help create:

2 Facebook/Instagram posts

1 Reel

2–3 Stories

Captions and hashtags

Simple Canva graphics

Schedule and publish content

Maintain a simple weekly content calendar

Suggest new content ideas

Organize photos and videos provided by our technicians

WHAT WE'LL PROVIDE
You won't be expected to chase technicians around all day looking for content.

Our team will provide photos, videos, project information, and before-and-after material from our electrical jobs.

Your job is to turn that raw material into professional, engaging content.

You'll have the opportunity to create content around:

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is:

Currently enrolled in college

Interested in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design, or a related field

Comfortable using Instagram and Facebook

Familiar with Canva

Interested in learning how to create Reels/short-form video

Creative and able to come up with content ideas

Reliable and able to meet weekly deadlines

Comfortable learning independently

Interested in building a real-world marketing portfolio

Experience managing a business social media account is a plus, but not required.

HOURS & PAY
Approximately 5 hours per week

$15–$20 per hour , depending on experience and skill level.

This position is designed to be flexible around your college schedule.

We are open to increasing hours and responsibilities over time if the relationship is a good fit.
