About Studio KARO Studio KARO is a New York based multidisciplinary creative studio creating artwork, apparel, objects, and experiences. We're building a brand that sits at the intersection of art, fashion, and storytelling.
About the role You will run Studio KARO's content ecosystem from concept to publication.
This is a SUPER creative role. One day you'll be producing a campaign shoot, another day editing a YouTube video, another day planning a product launch or reaching out to creatives for collaborations.
You'll work closely with me (karo) but should also be someone who naturally takes initiative, brings ideas to the table, and creates systems that help the business scale.
The real context… I’ve been doing everything by myself the past few years: growing my pages to over 500k+, producing high level photo + video shoots, smaller content shoots, strategizing rollouts, etc. I’m obsessed with it, but I’m spread way too thin and it’s taking me away from the actual creation of artwork, video + clothing.
Last year, I launched separate brand accounts to create official brand pages for studio KARO so there was a separation between the KARO brand and @karocrafts. Think @karocrafts is how it was made and @studio__karo is what was made.
I’m looking for someone who wants to help build an iconic creative brand, not just manage social media.
Responsibilities Run Studio KARO's Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube strategy
Concept, produce, shoot, and edit photo & video content both independently and alongside me
With ability to hire out help for larger shoots
Build content calendars and launch strategies
Edit both long-form and short-form content
Stay ahead of social, fashion, art, and cultural trends
Work with paid advertising partners to develop creative assets
Analyze content performance and optimize strategy
Qualifications 2+ years of experience managing or producing content for a creative, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer brand.
That being said… I’m much more interested in your taste, initiative, and portfolio than the exact number of years you’ve worked
Must have clear examples of social pages you have run or contributed to and be able to show pieces of work that have performed well online
Room to Grow This is a key role that I’m really looking forward to having. It is a long term role! There’s a lot of exciting projects in the future, and real opportunity for growth.
