About the Role
We're hiring a Social Media Manager to own social media across our portfolio of brands: KMI Family Ventures, LimnPay, Limn Insurance, and SparkLab. Each brand speaks to a different audience with a different voice, so this role gives you real range across B2B financial services, payments, commercial insurance, and innovation programming.
This is a true ownership role. You won't be executing someone else's content calendar, you'll be building it. You'll run the content strategy, produce the work, engage the audience, measure what's working, and iterate. We're a company that leans heavily into AI across our operations, and we expect our Social Media Manager to do the same.
We're not just filling a seat. We're hiring someone who wants to grow with us. As our brands scale and our marketing function matures, the right person will see their scope, title, and compensation grow in step. You'll report directly to leadership and get wide exposure to how a modern, AI-forward multi-brand portfolio operates.
About the Role - Why In-Office
This role is based in our Birmingham, MI office. We've found that being together produces better work, faster feedback, and the kind of candid conversations that don't happen over Slack. You'll be in the room when decisions get made, which matters for someone building a function from the ground up. If something comes up and you need to work from home, we're flexible, but the default is in-office.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end social media strategy and execution across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms as needed for each brand
Build and maintain content calendars for all four brands, tailored to each platform's format and audience
Write captions and copy that match each brand's distinct voice: institutional and understated for KMI, professional and credible for LimnPay and Limn Insurance, energetic and community-driven for SparkLab
Produce content hands-on: shoot and edit short-form video (team features, leadership thought leadership, product highlights, event coverage), design graphics, write long-form posts
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Canva AI, CapCut AI, Adobe Firefly, Runway, Sora, etc.) to accelerate ideation, production, and iteration while keeping each brand's voice authentic
Manage daily community engagement across all brands: respond to comments and DMs, flag items that need leadership input, build relationships with followers and industry contacts
Track performance metrics across platforms and deliver monthly reports with insights and recommendations
Run paid social campaigns when needed (small budget boost tests, event promotions, hiring posts)
Research competitors, industry trends, and emerging platforms across family offices, fintech, payments, insurance, and startup programming
Continuously test and recommend new AI tools, workflows, and automations that improve speed or quality
Coordinate with leadership on brand positioning, campaign ideas, and event coverage
Qualifications
2+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or notable personal project (recent grads with exceptional portfolios will be considered)
Demonstrated ability to run social media independently with a portfolio of past work
Deep working knowledge of LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok as distinct platforms
Hands-on experience using AI tools in real workflows. You should be able to speak clearly to how you've used ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools to produce or improve work at scale
Strong writing with a clean visual eye, and the judgment to know when AI-generated output needs a human rewrite
Comfortable on camera and comfortable directing others on camera
Highly organized and self-directed, able to manage multiple brands and competing deadlines
Strong sense of discretion and professionalism (you'll have visibility into portfolio activity that is not public)
Able to work in-office at our Birmingham, MI location
Preferred Skills
Prior experience managing social for multiple brands or clients simultaneously
Experience with AI video and image generation tools (Sora, Runway, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Veo, etc.)
Familiarity with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n) or interest in learning them
Experience with social media management platforms (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite)
Experience running paid social campaigns
Background or interest in finance, payments, insurance, or financial services
Familiarity with LinkedIn organic growth strategies and personal branding for executives
Pay range and compensation package
This role is designed for growth. We're hiring someone who wants to build the social function with us, not just run a playbook.
