Senior Graphic Designer

Smartdept. is searching for a Senior Graphic Designer for a travel and tourism marketing agency client. This is a remote freelance ongoing opportunity. Our client is looking for a high-level, self-directed designer to support creative and production work. This role goes beyond production. You'll bring creative savvy and deliver polished, high-quality work with light supervision, with senior art director support on the team.
What You'll Do:
Concept and produce creative for tourism campaigns
Execute print and digital design work at a high level of quality and accuracy
Build animated digital banners using the client's proprietary banner platform (training provided)
Work independently and manage your own projects with light direction
Collaborate with senior art directors and the broader creative team
What You'll Need:
Senior-level graphic design experience with a strong portfolio showing both creative and production work
Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop
Working knowledge of Figma
Ability to work self-directed and deliver with light supervision
Comfort with a variable workload; hours are flexible and not guaranteed at 40 per week
Nice-to-Have Skills:
After Effects experience
Motion design and animation
Animated banner or HTML5 ad experience
Agency experience, especially travel, tourism, or destination marketing
