About the Company
Enver is a leading VR game studio and publisher headquartered in New York City. We build viral, social gaming worlds and are known for top\-tier publishing and marketing, with creator\-led campaigns behind some of the biggest titles in VR, including chart\-topping games on Meta Quest. Our specialty is social, live\-ops driven multiplayer games built around communities, creators, and content loops.
About the Role
A free to play, social VR game for Meta Quest. You are the senior artist on a small team and the go‑to for everything visual. Your core responsibility is making art: environments, characters, props, effects and UI, from concept to optimized, in\-engine assets. Alongside that you help define the art direction, plan the art schedule, and distribute tasks across the other artists. Management responsibilities are light. Most of your week is spent building.
The cycle is fast. Ideas become playable prototypes in weeks, with a custom character and a custom environment in that window, and games that go forward move into live ops with new content every few weeks. What you make reaches real players quickly, and you see the reaction the same week.
Responsibilities
Model, texture and ship game\-ready 3D assets: environments, characters, props and world dressing
Build VR environments that are fun to move through and easy to read, with clear landmarks and good visibility between players
Create VFX using VFX Graph or Particle System
Build UI and in\-world interactive pieces that work well in VR
Set up assets in Unity: materials, prefabs, lighting, LODs and collision, ready for developers to use
Optimize for Meta Quest: draw calls, texture atlases, poly budgets, lighting and shader cost
Help define the art style and keep it consistent across the game
Plan the art schedule with the PM, distribute tasks across the artists, and keep the project board accurate
Keep shipping new content for live ops after launch: cosmetics, maps, seasonal items
Collaborate daily with design, engineering and production in a fully remote team
Qualifications
3+ years as a 3D artist or generalist in games, with at least one shipped title supported post-launch
Shipped VR or mobile work with tight performance budgets, ideally Meta Quest
Strong across the full 3D pipeline: high and low poly modeling, UVs, baking, texturing, and Unity integration
Environment art: set dressing, props, terrain and lighting
Character art: stylized characters, skins and cosmetics that read well in VR
Rigging: skeletons, skinning and weight painting for characters and props
Animation: keyframe and looping animations for characters, props and UI, set up in Unity's Animator
