This position provides media production services and photographic services for various clientele, responsible for conceptualizing, developing, producing, shooting and editing a variety of video and photo projects to create clear and effective electronic media communications and still photography to a variety of audiences.
Position Overview
This position provides media production services and photographic services for clientele, responsible for conceptualizing, developing, producing, shooting and editing a variety of video and photo projects to create clear and effective electronic media communications and still photography to a variety of audiences. The incumbent serves as production staff for projects, assisting in all aspects of production and post-production work. This position provides a variety of photographic functions such as photographic shooting work that includes portraits, photojournalism, and on-location set-ups using digital photographic equipment. The incumbent will transport, set up, and operate equipment, assist with location scouting, staging, lighting, as well as set preparation and design.

Duties may include:
- Conceptualize, script, pre-produce, schedule and plan photo and video projects
- Develop creative program treatment, storyline, motion graphics, video and audio content
- Edit program material by operating software editing systems for video and audio footage, graphics, animation, image processing and sound design
- Conduct interviews on and off camera
- Conduct video and/or photo shoots in a variety of situations, according to instructions of client or art director, in studio and on location
- Digitally log, transcribe and archive footage for entry into the database by following specific detailed guidelines and instructions
- Maintain databases including ongoing and completed projects, media libraries, equipment inventory, etc.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
- Two years of videography and/or photography experience
- Storytelling through photography and digital media avenues
- Using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and video production equipment
- Using advanced functionality of image editing software, webpage software, HTML and Digital Asset Management software
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehicles
- Must be able to work nonstandard hours including occasional weekends
- Must be able to travel
- Possess a Part 107 commercial drone license or be able to acquire within 60 days of hire
Experience with the following:
- Using software in media development, post-production, graphic design, web design, webcast including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite
- Maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and other creative professionals including photographers, graphic designers and art directors
- Self-organizing work and effectively managing multiple projects with competing strict deadlines
- Visualizing and capturing the decisive moments when various elements come together to create artistic images
- Using lighting equipment both in the studio and on location and computer up-load on location
- Communicating effectively with individuals from all levels of the organization
- Utilizing GoPro and/or drones to capture video and photography
- Associate degree in photography, videography, or related field
- Utilizing both Macintosh and Windows operating systems within a network environment
- Setting up and transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Standing for extended periods during photoshoots, which can be approximately four to six hours in duration
