Roles & Responsibilities:

 

 

Purpose: Scripps is seeking a high-performance team member needed to ingest, organize and perform digital recipe migration activities for Scripps Networks Interactive Food brand’s (Food Network and Cooking Channel).

 

 

 

Relationships

 

  • This position reports to the Digital Asset / Recipe Library Coordinator and Director of Editorial Operations.

     

    This person must work collaboratively with members of Food Network’s and Cooking Channel's digital programming and editorial teams to ensure deadlines are met.

     

    This person must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the SNI Enterprise teams (Development, Search), Culinary Editors and the Food Network and Cooking Channel Programming teams in Knoxville, TN and New York City, NY.

     

  • This position will be working with and managed by teams in remote offices, NYC and Knoxville and must be proficient in remote working environments and using technology such as Skype, Slack, Google Docs & Sheets to collaborate with others.   

     

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Prioritize, coordinate and complete all aspects of recipe system production and migration from legacy systems.  This includes:

     

    • Entering new recipes

       

      Selecting and updating appropriate recipe metadata to ensure optimal search results

       

      Attaching show, talent and other important information to recipe assets.

       

      Fixing recipe errors that appear from automatic migration of assets.

       

      Check that recipe assets pass the quality assurance standards and user acceptance testing as defined by the Digital Asset / Recipe Library Coordinator.

       

      Quality Assurance and accuracy for recipes part of the Scripps Library of Assets

       

      Metadata fielding / tagging and QA.

       

    Work collaboratively to archive and apply images, video and metadata to a wide range of recipe asset types, including: shows, cookbooks, magazine, and custom digitally developed recipes.

     

    Proactively problem solve system, recipe and digital asset production issues. Work collaboratively with Food Network’s Digital Product Team as well as Scripps Networks Interactive Enterprise teams and maintain on-going communication between each.

    Proficient with personal computers and in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) and Google Collaboration applications (Sheets and Docs).
