New York Giants contributor

Heavy, a leading news and information website, is looking to partner a hard-charging, entrepreneurial freelance contributor to cover the New York Giants.

We're launching an initiative aimed at having lightning-fast, comprehensive coverage of a select group of NFL teams, and looking for one freelance contributor to cover each team, including the Giants.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: 

• A passion for and deep understanding of the Giants and the NFL 
• Exceptional planning and organizational skills
• Ability and desire to react rapidly to on- and off-the-field breaking news
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Ability to quickly navigate social media — especially Twitter and Instagram — to spot breaking news and find additional information after a story breaks
• Ability to produce clean and polished copy
