Description:Knowledgeable of Catia V5 as it relates to company design needs.2. Skilled in all facets of 3D modeling in Catia V5. Should have experience in creating sketch-based solids and geometric surfacing.3. Creates complex and simple detail, sub-assembly, and top assembly drawings.4. Writes engineering orders and makes changes to existing drawings.5. Creates assemblies and drawings for test procedures.6. Knowledgeable in ACS (aircraft coordinate systems) and can design componentsusing ACS or local coordinates.7. Knowledge of Catia FTA workbench and MBD (Model Based Definition) and itsapplications in the aerospace engineering environment and documentation.8. Performs weight calculations (hand or Catia V5).9. Performs design checks of models and drawings created by other drafters.10. Strong understanding of GD&T practices per ASME and ANSI standards.11. Manufacturing knowledge in the machining of metallic components and sheetmetal forming.12. Creates tooling models and drawings.13. Aids the shop, customers and vendors in reading and interpreting company andcustomer drawings to facilitate manufacturing.14. Develop assembly BOMs.15. Experience with PLM software (Enovia) and configuration management practicespreferred.16. Performs tolerance stack-ups and interference checks as needed.Skills:catia V5, mechanical design, complex assemblies, modeling, draft, drawings, aerospace, Catia, Design, Gd&t, CadAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Requires high school or vocational school graduate withcourses in Mechanical Drafting, Algebra, and Trigonometry. Three years minimumaerospace design and drafting experience required. Minimum of 10,000 hours workingdirectly with Catia V5. Catia V5 courses strongly desired. Manufacturing knowledge is a plus.Must understand engineering drawings. Must have a working knowledge of shopoperations and processes to aid in clarifying drawings. Ability to analyze figures, results,or complex data to determine the logical solution to a drafting problem.Experience Level:Intermediate / Expert Level
