We are on the hunt for a dedicated, highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the safety and efficiency of our transportation systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the field of traffic engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC).

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks that are critical to the success of our engineering operations. These include but are not limited to:
1. Designing and implementing traffic systems, including traffic signals and roundabouts, to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
2. Developing and implementing temporary traffic control plans for construction projects, special events, and other situations that may disrupt normal traffic flow.
3. Conducting traffic studies and analyses to identify potential problems and develop solutions.
4. Collaborating with other engineers, planners, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive transportation plans.
5. Providing guidance and supervision to junior engineers and other team members.
6. Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with established QA/QC procedures.
Job Details
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Traffic Engineer position, applicants must have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in traffic engineering, with a strong focus on traffic signals, roundabouts, and temporary traffic control.
3. A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
4. Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
7. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Proficiency with computer software used in traffic engineering, such as AutoCAD and Synchro.
